Description

"A classic example of the bizzare effects of high levels of backround magical radiation on the biology of endemic wildlife. This creature shares charicteristics of both birds and snakes, for at some point in its evolutionary past features of these two creatures became fused by unpredictable "wyrd forces", creating an entirely new creature. Studies show that in cases such as this, the parent animal is unafected and is the offspring that is effected during the early stages of development. Apparently it simply has to be in close proximity to any plant, animal or object whilst recieving heavy doses of this magical "radiation" for it to start taking on some of its nature. Most of these of course end up hidiously deformed and never make it very far in life, if at all. However as is in the case of the snake egret this strainge phenomena may through sheer chance give rise to entirely new and astonishingly unique species." - Extract from A. Burbrights Difinitive Textbook of Arcane Biology

Ah magic. So wonderfully vague a concept it can be used to explane virtually anything :3

Fun Fact: The snake egret also sports an extra set of fully functioning wings, and its irritatingly loud, repetitive call of "Ololololol!" is said by many to be oddly and mockingly familiar.
